By the end of ten days you should be feeling good enough to get ready for home. However, you still have several weeks to go before you are back to normal. The anesthetic that you were given usually takes two or three weeks to wear off completely so you will need someone to help care for your needs during your recovery time at home. Some people find it hard to think clearly during this time. You will not be able to drive a car or do any lifting and straining. Your abdominal muscles will need time to mend before doing anything that requires physical work.

This is why it is always best to have someone available to help out during this time. As you feel better start out doing some light exercise to help build back up your strength. Walk a little longer each day and spend a little more time sitting up. If you experience some vaginal discharge during this time that is normal and so is having some signs of depression.

You will be returning to your doctor for a check-up six weeks about your surgery. If you have any questions or concern this will the time that you will need to discuss them with your doctor. He will let you know how well the recovery time is going and if you need to do anything extra. They can also give you a list of exercises that you can start doing to help you get your body back to normal. It is fateful that you listen to what your body is telling you during this time and if you feel like something is not right, then contact your doctor. You will need to give your body time to mend it will take awhile.
